High blood pressure, or hypertension, rarely has noticeable symptoms. But if untreated, it increases your risk of serious problems such as heart attacks and strokes.
Around a third of adults in the UK have high blood pressure, although many will not realise it.
The only way to find out if your blood pressure is high is to have your blood pressure checked.
If you receive a message asking you to check your blood pressure, it is important you respond!
Getting your blood pressure checked is quick and easy, and across Rushcliffe we are actively working towards making sure everyone has healthy blood pressure.
To get your blood pressure checked, you can either:
Visit one of the community pharmacists (listed below)
Borrow a blood pressure machine from your surgery
Request a check at your next appointment
