Stopping Smoking or Vaping

Smoking in vehicles with under 18s present has been illegal in the UK since 2015.

 

The local Public Health team has been working to raise awareness of the law, and the reason it was brought in: to protect children from the harms of secondhand smoke.

 

NEW local resources are now available:

 

•           For parents and the wider public – a parents’ leaflet and a poster for display in health care settings accessed by the public. A digital version is available for healthcare screens.

 

•           For staff – information for staff who have contact with parents or carers, to equip them to have conversations on this topic.
